Ever since I first watched Jurassic Park, I have been obsessed with amber. I personally wear a number of amber pieces and I have always wanted to work with it as a material.
I found this particular cross while on tour and wanted to make it into a rosary. I hand selected the beads from red Baltic amber. Both the cross and the rosary center are sterling silver.
The rosary center is one of the few remaining pieces left from a monetary that used to restore rosaries. When the monastery closed in the mid 2000s, I purchased thousands of remaining pieces that had not been restored and began completing their work. 
It’s paired with a hand painted porcelain box. Both the amber and the box come with a certificate of authenticity.
