About the event
During the pandemic, I developed a program for aspiring authors. It was a multi-hour course designed to help people complete their book, whether it’s fiction or non-fiction.
Not only am I dyslexic and ADHD, but I also live with depression and PTSD. These diagnoses can often work against my desire to achieve my goals. However, in spite of these challenges, I’ve accomplished a lot:
I’ve acted in both film and on stage
Written a number of plays
Authored six books
Run a successful restoration business
And developed two shelters from the ground up
None of those have been small tasks!
I was able to accomplish these achievements because I developed specific techniques to help me with focus, goal setting, and community building.
Since launching my writer's workshop, I’ve had many folks reach out to me asking if I would develop a workshop with a bit more of a universal appeal that still focused on these techniques. I get it, not everyone wants to write a book, but they could still benefit from my techniques.
This new workshop is titled: Power of the Possible, and I’ll be hosting the first one in August.
I’ll be going over a number of topics:
Time management
Overcoming roadblocks
Not knowing where to start
Not knowing how to finish
Community development
Engagement
Team building
Focus
And so much more!
Typically, I charge $49-75 dollars for my writer's workshop, but because this is the beta launch of Power of the Possible, I’ll only be charging $25 for the class. Why offer such a huge discount? It’s not because the workshop lacks the value but because I’ll be relying on your feedback to help improve on the program going forward.
If you’ve got a project that you’d like to begin or complete from the arts, community development, building a nonprofit, or finally sitting down to put pen to paper to start your first novel, this workshop is for you!
I’m offering a very limited number of seats for this workshop, and I anticipate it to sell out quickly. So I genuinely hope you will join us on this new adventure!
There will be two time slots available for this class: 6PM and 8:30PM EST. Both classes will be the same, we are just offering two deprecate times to accommodate everyone's schedule.
